Uew SRC electoral commission finally lifts ban on campus campaign



The electoral commission of the student representative council of the university of Education, Winneba has finally lifted the ban which was placed on campaigns due to the global pandemic COVID-19.

The COVID-19 V severely affect the activities and plans of the school due to its ability to spread easily by having contact with an infected person.

In order to curb the spread of the virus, restrictions from the Uew management board were placed on several activities to ensure social distancing.

However, as the spread of the virus has been contained restrictions which were placed on several activities by the management board were gradually being eased.

One of the restrictions was the inability of aspirants who will be contesting for positions to campaign.

The electoral commission of the SRC have finally eased the ban and those aspiring for positions can campaign freely without any sanctions.
