University of Ghana lecturer, Professor Godfred A. Bokpin has said that the easiest way to be unemployed in this current Ghana is to attend a University.
Professor Godfred A. Bokpin said that it is disheartening to see Ghanaian youth seeking for jobs that do not exist after graduate in a developing country.
The UG lecturer was reacting to the claims by the Ghana Vice President Bawumia that he and President Nana Addo have handled the country and it’s economy very well than Mahama’s NDC administration.
“The easiest way to become unemployed today is to go to the university. Because unemployment is high among university graduates between 22 to 29 years. They are spending their productive time/youth looking for jobs that do not exist even if they study employment in the university. These are the issues that I believe should engage our attention. We can do far better,” he stated in an interview on Accra-based Joy FM.
Professor Godfred A. Bokpin urged the government to nip corruption and ensure that the possible policies are being implemented in order to secure more jobs for the youth.
