Uew SRC President reveals the date for End of semester examination


The Student Representative Council SRC of the University of Education, Winneba has finally addressed the student populace on what entails the suspension of the University Teachers Association of Ghana UTAG strike.

However the students were anticipating the time with which they will start their end of semester examination.

The SRC presidential has released a Statement to address the issues in the suspension of the strike

This is what he said

Good evening colleagues

Let’s take note of the following temporarily before the official communique comes out.

1. The semester has been extended by two weeks

2. School closes down on the 25th of September, 2021. Exams starts from 6th September to 24th September.

3. End of semester exams shall be on a hybrid mode. General courses online and departmental courses face- to- face.

5. Final year students are to submit their project work on or before 30th September, 2O21.

6. That the hybrid mode is in our favor since it guarantees quality and reduces inefficiencies in the system. Copy work can also be avoided.

7. That lecturers shall be talked to in other for them to set questions with moderation.

8. Deans office has been tasked to liase with hostel owners to avert any additional charging of accommodation fees.

9. Tentatively, next academic year shall begin latest by 27th November. Its provisional but it cannot come beneath that period

10. Full fees payment by final year students preparing for internship may be varied on case by case basis. Students with genuine concerns are to write for consideration.

11. Printing of long essay by final year students at the University press is optional for current final years. But it will be fully operational from next academic year. This is to ensure standardisation and to check plagiarism.

  1. Good morning Sir,I really appreciate your efforts but additional two weeks on our stay in winneba is a big problem to some of us because some of us takes our own burden ( feeding, taking car to lecture) please kindly do something about it for us
