#UewDecides: Silas Abankwa promises the reduction of hostel and accomodation fees when elected

Silas Abankwa, a presidential candidate in this year’s university of Education, Winneba (UEW) Student Representative Council (SRC) election has promised to help in the reduction of hostel and accomodation fees when voted into office.

He says that the rate at which hostel and accommodation fees are rising up has become a burden to students since some of them take care of themselves.

Silas Abankwa, popularly known as Gawuga believes that such a move will help spend less on hostels and accomodation.

Silas has said that one of the major problems students are facing is the increase in accomodation and hostel fees.

In his chitchat with some students, he came to a conclusion that students are worried over the increase in the prices of the hostel and accommodation and has promised  in his line of governance, he will see to it that the prices of hostels and accomodation fees are reduced.

That notwithstanding, Silas has said that steps have been taken to ensure  students are comfortable with the prices of hotels and accomodation as they have already engaged the Nest Finance and the response has been positive.
