UTAG updates negotiation terms with government; threatens another strike over failure of government to address their concerns frontally

The University Teachers Association of Ghana UTAG has issued a statement to address the negotiation terms with government over their condition of services.

On 2nd August, 2021 the UTAG declared a strike over the failure of government to settle the agreed salary level since 2012.

This the UTAG saw as a bad faith and however declared an indefinite strike to show how displeased they are with the government over the condition of services it provides for them.

The government seeing how serious the UTAG was proposed a negotiation terms to listen and address the worries and cries of the Teacher Union.

The proposal by made by government compelled the UTAG to suspend their strike and go to the negotiation table with the government to discuss their condition of services.
