Uew local assembly members holds last local assembly meeting for 2nd semester; prepares to swear in newly elected leaders


The local assembly of the University of Education, Winneba UEW has finally organised the last local assembly meeting which is to address several issues and also swear in newly elected leaders.

An election was organised this semester to elect new leaders as stated in the constitution of the university that new leaders will be elected every two semesters.

However, students were anticipating the swearing of the new leaders since it has taken enough time due to the end of semester examination.

A directive by the Students Representative Council SRC electoral commission in consultation with the Dean of Students affairs stated that JCRCs should as a matter of urgency organize handing over ceremonies for newly elected leaders.

In the  released statement, the last day for any handing over ceremony will be Saturday 25th September, 2021.

As noted the local assembly has complied to the directive of the electoral commission and has done the needful by organising a meeting to swear in the newly elected leaders.
