UEW Supports Ghana National Fire Service


The management of the University of Education (UEW) on Monday, 30th December 2021 donated some equipment which includes furniture to the Ghanan Nationa Fire Service to aid their work as a support by the institution.

Mr. John Kwaku Oppong, the Estate Officer who donated the items on behalf of the management of the University explained that the donated equips were a result of responding to a quest to aid in the work of the fire service to function effectively in the Effutu Municipality.

The slightly used items comprised two swivel chairs, three office desks, two photocopiers, one drawer metal cabinet, four visitor’s chairs, and two Lenovo system units with monitors.

Receiving the items on behalf of GNFS, Winneba, DO111 Columban Kwesi Hughes, thanked the Management of the University for the support and assured that the items would be put to proper use for the benefit of the Municipality. He was optimistic that the gesture would go a long way to strengthen the bond and cooperation between the two entities for the development of the community.
